The development of catalytic materials by applying new synthesis strategies and optimization of the conventional approaches as well as the evaluation of their catalytic properties:

  • Synthesis of micro- and mesoporous materials: zeolites, ordered and wormhole-like mesoporous materials, layered double hydroxides and so on;
  • Synthesis of  oxide/metallic nanoparticles on multifunctional mesostructured supports;
  • Immobilisation of enzymes on inorganic and/or inorganic-organic hybrid porous materials;
  • Applications in heterogeneous catalytic (redox and acid-base reactions) and biocatalytic systems;
  • Establish the relationships between the physico-chemical and catalytic properties of the solids.
  • Layered double hydroxides based materials nanoarchitectonics (elaborating strategies of arranging nanoscale structural units in desired, designed and defined ways) and to study their applications on the conversion of light energy into chemical energy.
